Paris, Tenn.–Banks in Paris and Henry County have issued a joint statement, announcing they are redirecting customer activity to their drive-through windows and in-branch visits by appointment only at certain branch locations.
Commercial Bank & Trust Senior Vice President Clint Davis announced Wednesday afternoon that Commercial Bank, Carroll Bank & Trust, Security Bank, First Bank, Holley Credit Union and Foundation Bank are making the announcement jointly.
Davis wanted to assure the public that the banks will remain open and “the full suite of all our transactions are still available to the public. We want the public to know that as the banking community in Henry County, we are all here and available.”
In the statement, Davis said, “As Paris and Henry County’s financial centers, our highest priority is the health and well-being of our customers, employees, and community. We understand the rising concern and uncertainty surrounding COVID-19. We will continue to monitor the COVID-19 situation closely with guidance from our local healthcare experts and reliable information from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (“CDC”) and World Health Organization (“WHO”).”
Beginning Thursday, March 19, and “based on the widely accepted, best-practice measures to mitigate the spread of COVID-19,” Davis said, “We will be redirecting customer activity to our drive-thru windows and in-branch visits by appointment only at certain branch locations. WE ARE STILL OPEN FOR BUSINESS and will continue to serve our customers as we always have done. We have made this decision to ensure the well-being of our employees, our customers, and the community we serve. Please contact your local branch or call center for lobby and drive-thru statuses. We also encourage you to take advantage of our great digital options and other resources for around the clock access.”
Anyone with questions on how to continue transacting business at the local banks is asked to call their banking institution, he said. “I encourage people with questions to just call us,” Davis said.
