Mansfield, Tenn.–Possible tornado or straight-line winds hit the Pleasant Hill Rd. area at Mansfield about 5:20 a.m. this morning. Henry County EMA Director Ron Watkins and Sheriff Josh Frey said no injuries have been reported and both are surveying the damage this morning.

Watkins said one barn was destroyed, lots of structural damage, four homes damages, parts of roofs are gone and trees are down all over.

In addition to the Pleasant Hill Rd. area, trees are down and damage is reported along Poplar Grove Rd., Highway 69S, Big Sandy, and Hagler’s Ridge. Watkins said there also is flooding reported on Hwy. 77.

Watkins said there was a tornado warning in effect during the time period of the Pleasant Hill damage, but from what he has seen so far this morning, “It seems like straight line winds to me. All the tree damage seems to be in the same direction, no twisting that I could see.”
