Murray, Ky.–After Murray State’s 72-60 loss to Bradley in the Missouri Valley Conference quarterfinal, Head Basketball Coach Steve Prohm has stepped down.
The Murray State News has reported that Prohm will end his second stint as head coach of the Racers with a 45-52 record over the last three seasons.
ESPN’s Pete Thamel is reporting that Murray State will be launching a national search for the next men’s basketball coach.
In Prohm’s first stint at Murray State, he led the Racers to four-straight Ohio Valley Conference championships and one NCAA Tournament appearance.
