The Jackson Clinic-Baptist Outpatient Campus recently opened the Baptist Interventional Pain Management Clinic, offering innovative, minimally invasive treatments for individuals suffering from chronic pain.
The new clinic offers advanced pain relief options that help patients manage conditions, such as arthritis, back pain, sciatica and nerve pain, without major surgery or long-term reliance on medication. Nerve blocks, steroid injections and radiofrequency ablation (a minimally invasive procedure that uses heat to target and relieve pain) are some of the treatments used to manage these conditions that can be caused by chronic issues like sciatica or degenerative disc disease.
“Chronic pain affects so many people in our community, limiting their mobility and quality of life,” said Andrew Rice, certified registered nurse anesthetist with The Jackson Clinic-Baptist Outpatient Campus. “The Jackson Clinic-Baptist Outpatient Campus Interventional Pain Management Clinic will help provide pain relief and improved functionality, so patients can return to their normal life and activities they love.”
Chronic pain remains a widespread issue, and patients often need to travel outside of the area for specialized pain management services.

The Jackson Clinic-Baptist Outpatient Campus is the first collaboration between The Jackson Clinic and Baptist Memorial Health Care in Jackson, Tennessee. The first-of-its-kind two-story, $80-million development in Jackson is home to a 51,000-square-foot outpatient surgery department, diagnostic services, 12 patient exam rooms, Coffee & Grill on the first floor and 136 patient exam rooms on the second floor. The outpatient surgery department, managed by Baptist, includes 34 pre- and post-outpatient beds with four secluded rooms for children, two endoscopy rooms, eight operating rooms, eight post-anesthesia care units and a vascular lab. The campus offers audiology, cardiac testing, infusion, ophthalmology, physical therapy, women’s imaging and retail pharmacy services. Surgery services include cardiology; ear, nose and throat; general; OB-GYN; plastic; podiatry; and urology for patients as young as 2 years old.
