
Cottage Grove, Tenn.–A county road mower tractor was destroyed by fire Thursday morning.
The Cottage Grove Volunteer Fire Department was called to the scene around 7 a.m. to find the tractor fully engulfed. No injuries were reported.
Fire Chief John Weiher gave a big thank you to Henry County Sheriff’s Office, Paris Board of Public Utilities, and the Henry County Highway Department for their assistance.
In another Thursday call, firefighters were called at 2:50 p.m. to a brush fire to provide mutual aid with the Puryear Fire Dept. They arrived on scene to find a brush pile burning and some loose ambers had blew into the woods, setting the woods on fire. We worked together with Puryear Fire to extinguish the fire. No injuries were reported.
