Paris, TN – Henry County School System will have Parent-Teacher Conference on March 3, 2025, and there will be no school on that day for students. Parents/Guardians will be able to discuss their student’s academic progress and growth with their teachers at their school from 12:00 – 6:00 p.m. at Harrelson, Henry, and Lakewood Elementary Schools and 1:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. at Grove and Henry County High School.
Face to face time with your child’s teacher is a great way to get information about your student’s strengths in the classroom. To make the most of your time, talk about what concerns you and your child may have and look over your student’s schoolwork so that you can make a list of questions you would like to ask your child’s teachers. For example,
- What is my child’s strongest and weakest subjects?
2. Does my child hand homework in on time?
3. Does my child participate in class?
4. Does my child seem happy at school?
5. What can I do at home to help?
Parent-Teacher Conference is a great time to ask for ways to help your student at home and to get information about school events. Parent-Teacher Conference is also a good time to update the school to a new address, phone number, or email address.
After the conference, talk to your child about the meeting and share positives as well as any other information shared to help your student be successful. Also, continue to keep in touch with your teacher during the school year.
Principals from each school echo the sentiment that teachers can’t wait to meet with students’ parents and guardians next week.
