Recently, the Murray Police Department received a report of a sexual assault. An investigation was conducted by detectives, and as a result of the investigation, Thomas Varneke, age 42, of Murray, was charged with Sodomy 1st degree. Varneke was arrested and lodged in the Calloway County Jail on Thursday, February 6.
