Elmer M. Broach, age 93, of Paris, Tennessee passed away on Friday, January 31, 2025 at Patriot Health and Rehab Center. His funeral service will be 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, February 4, 2025 at McEvoy Funeral Home with Bro. Randy Stephens officiating. Burial will follow the service in Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery. Family members will serve as pallbearers.
Visitation with the family will be from 4:00 until 7:00 P.M. Monday and after 11:00 A.M. Tuesday until time of service.
Elmer Martin Broach was born July 15, 1931 in McKenzie, Tennessee to the late Sidney Euel Broach and the late Minnie Mae Martin Broach. He married Rubie Oliver Broach on May 22, 1954 and she preceded him in death on May 19, 1991. Mr. Broach is survived by his daughter, Rhonda (Dave) Purdon of Paris; sons, Andy Broach of Paris, Roger (Bonnie) Broach all of Paris, and Ronnie Broach of Henry; grandchildren, Christopher Broach, Brian Broach, Gabrielle Kelly, Samantha Purdon, and Drew Purdon; also survived by other family members and friends.
Besides his parents and wife, Elmer is also preceded in death by his daughter-in-law, Ann Broach.
Mr. Broach was a lifetime member of the Church of Christ. He formerly worked at Holley Carburetor, was a member of the Tennessee Army National Guard for more than 30 years, attaining the rank of Lieutenant Colonel, was manager and agent for Woodman of the World Life Insurance Company for many years and was also a member of the Paris Masonic Lodge for more than 50 years. He was active in many local civic organizations and also farmed for a number of years in Henry County.
