
George Carlton Pullen, age 93 of Paris, TN, passed away Tuesday, January 21, 2025, at Charter Assisted Living in Paris.
George was a member of Cottage Grove Methodist Church. He spent many years working as a salesman, specializing in business equipment and automobiles in Memphis, TN. A proud 32nd-degree Mason, George was also an active member of the Al Chymia Shrine in Memphis. In his free time, he enjoyed golfing, woodworking, and creating oil paintings. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1949 to 1953.
He was born July 15, 1931, in Cottage Grove, TN, to the late John Barton Pullen and the late Irene Speight Pullen.
On December 24, 1955, George married Margaret Jean Davis Pullen, who precedes him in death.
He is survived by two daughters, Deborah (Lowell) Wilson of Springville, TN, and Lisa Adams of Collierville, TN; one sister, Ann Stromecky of Huntsville, AL; five granddaughters, Jennifer (Dave) Snyder, Pamela (Nathan) Higginbotham, Erin Adams, Kim (Shannon) Mayo, and Megan Wilson; and 12 great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents and his wife, George is preceded in death by his stepmother, Mary V. Pullen; two brothers, Jim Pullen, and Bill Pullen; and three sisters, Marion McWherter, Corrinne Bowden, and Carol Stigall.
Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap Street, Paris, TN, 38242, is handling the arrangements. Visitation is scheduled for Friday, January 24, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at Ridgeway Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held at Ridgeway Funeral Home at 1:00 p.m. with Mike Wimberly officiating.
Burial will follow at Roselawn Memory Gardens. Serving as pallbearers will be Bart Herbison, Jon Herbison, Mark Herbison, Spencer Cook, Seth Cook, and Johnnie Edwards.
