Mrs. Margaret Wallace, 76, was called home to be with the Lord Monday, April 21, 2024, with her loving family by her side.
She was born Friday, November 14, 1947, the daughter of the late Carl and Evelyn Fitzhugh Miles. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother” Carl Wayne Miles.
Margaret was a clerk for seven years at Dan Dill’s Grocery Store and 12 years for Dill’s Department Store before retiring. She met her customers with kindness and willingness to lend a helping hand. She loved cross stitching, word search and reading a good book, especially about the Amish women.
She loved the Lord and was a faithful servant and a member of Taylor’s Chapel Church of God.
She was married to the love of her life for 59 years. They were together 61 years, becoming soulmates, best friends and demonstrated a real-life love story. Their love left a legacy for their family and friends to follow. Margaret and Dale loved the Lord and built their family together, teaching them to love, share and give to others. She enjoyed spending time together no matter if it was a holiday gathering or just drinking Mello Yellows, talking around the kitchen table.
Margaret spent her entire life caring for her family and others with her kind and nurturing love.
She was quiet at times, but could be witty. She could quickly throw a one-liner into conversation that would definitely have everyone laughing.
She was a loving and devoted wife; caring mother, granny, sister, aunt and friend to everyone she met.
She will be sadly missed by her cherished family.
