
McKenzie, Tenn.–Ally Silva is the new Bethel University Assistant Softball Coach.
Silva was the Head Softball Coach at Southern Union for eight years. She was the assistant softball coach during the 2014-2015 season and was later named the head coach for the Lady Bison. Silva graduated from Hoover High School in 2009. She began her collegiate softball career at Southern Union as a Lady Bison in 2010 and 2011. From Southern Union she transferred to Auburn University, where she spent one year working with the Auburn University softball team. Silva then transferred to Point University where she finished her softball career, as well as her degree in Exercise Science in 2014. In August of 2020, she completed her Masters in Sport and Fitness Management from Troy University.
Bethel Head Coach Kathrine Hannagan said, “I couldn’t be more thrilled to welcome Ally to our coaching staff. Ally brings many years of softball and coaching experience to the team. She is very passionate about the game and shares the same vision I have for this program. I have no doubt she will help us grow the program, create a family culture, and championship experience for our student athletes.”
