Patricia “Pat” Massey, 75, of Puyear, Tennessee, died Sunday, December 17, 2023, at AHC of McKenzie, Tennessee.
Pat was born Monday, August 16, 1948, in Paris, Tennessee, to the late Clyde Walker and the late Virginia Rogers Walker.She was a longtime teacher with the Henry County Head Start program and later retired from PML in Paris.
Pat took great pride in keeping her home, yard, and flowers.
She was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church and had been attending North Fork Baptist Church.
Pat and her husband were baptized on the same day at Puryear Baptist Church.She was married Friday, November 4, 1966, to Arthur David Massey, who preceded her in death.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by two sisters: Linda Goforth and Kay Odom.She is survived by her son: David Scott (Mary Alice) Massey, of Paris, Tennessee; one sister: Glenda Sue Key, of Paris, Tennessee; two grandchildren: Amber (Eric) McCool, and Matthew (Samantha) Massey; and three great grandchildren, Seren McCool, Sabriel McCool, and Bryant Ward.Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap St, Paris, Tennessee.
Visitation will be Tuesday, December 19, 2023, from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. at Ridgeway Funeral Home, with the funeral service beginning at 12:00 p.m. at Ridgeway Funeral Home with Chad Kennedy officiating.Serving as pallbearers will be: Matthew Massey, Eric McCool, Bryant Ward, Stony Odom, Stephen Holcomb, Christopher Brandon, Tommy Goforth, Terry Goforth, and Dylan Clary.Burial will be in Puryear City Cemetery in Puryear, Tennessee.
