Paris, Tenn.–Henry County Native Mark Herbison, who has been a key player in the Blue Oval City project, spoke to the Paris Rotary club on Thursday about the effect Blue Oval will have on West Tennessee. Herbison is President of HTL Advantage.
Herbison, along with Kyle Spurgeon, who also is a Henry County native and CEO of the Jackson Chamber of Commerce, has been active in the project to expand and complete the mega site of 4600 acres since its beginning. What initially began as a $6B project from Ford Motor Company continues to grow to near $10B.
Herbison is sure that Henry County will also be affected positively through efforts of Blue Oval to influence technical skills and training through the educational systems of Tennessee, and specifically Henry County. Buildings are already being completed for battery manufacturing that will be a crucial part of the Ford electric trucks to be manufactured, he said.
Some of the highest paying jobs in the nation will be had at Blue Oval City, which is located in Haywood County.
