Harvey C. Ross

Harvey C. Ross, 85, of Paris, Tennessee, died Sunday, November 26, 2023, at Henry County Healthcare Center in Paris, Tennessee.

Harvey was born Thursday, September 22, 1938, in Easton, Maryland, to the late Harvey M. Ross and the late Elsie Mae Covey Ross. Besides his parents, he was also preceded in death by three sisters; and one brother.

He retired from Ellis Heating after 30 plus years as a sheet metal mechanic.

He served in the 101st Airbourne of the US Army and was a lifetime member of Paris Elks Lodge #816.

Harvey was a member of the Church of God in Easton, Maryland.

He enjoyed fishing and drinking coffee with his friends at JB’s and Maverick.

He was married Saturday, October 31, 1959, to Wilma Sue “Susie” Bucy Ross, who survives of Paris, Tennessee. He is also survived by one daughter: Lisa Ross Little, of Paris, Tennessee; one son: Lee (Roseanne) Ross, of Paris, Tennessee; one sister: Catherine Ross Quidas, of Preston, Maryland; two grandchildren: Paul Ross Little, of Atwood, Tennessee, and Brianna Ross (Malik) Martin, of Brighton, Tennessee; one brother-in-law: John (Kathy) Bucy, of Martin, Tennessee; one nephew: Jay (Angie) Bucy, of Nashville, Tennessee; and numerous other nieces and nephews in Maryland.

Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap St, Paris, Tennessee.

Visitation will be at Ridgeway Funeral Home Thursday, November 30, 2023, from 11 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.

The funeral service will be held graveside at 2:00 p.m. at Rose Lawn Memory Garden in Paris, Tennessee, with Bennie Akers officiating.

Serving as pallbearers will be: Mark Hemphill, Allen McDougal, Howard Powell, David Powell, Ross Little, and Jay Bucy. Malik Martin, Andy Jackson, David Irby, and Charles Bennett are named as honorary pallbearers.

Burial will follow in Rose Lawn Memory Garden in Paris, Tennessee.
