Union City, Tenn.–Students at Union City Elementary School “cooked up” some great ideas for entries in the annual Fire Prevention Poster contest recently.
This year’s theme was “Cooking Safety Starts with You!”. The contest drew 120 entries for kindergarten through fourth grade students, and the top three winners from each class were recognized.
UC Fire Department representatives Cynthia Mickschl & Michael Reeves presented certificates, aprons, and other fire safety-related goodies to the students after the judging.
All 120 posters were sent to Nashville to be judged for the state-wide competition.
