Paris, TN – The University of Tennessee, Knoxville, will welcome Henry County High School student, Reagan Bostick this fall as its newest Distinguished Tennessean Scholar from Henry County. The university’s Distinguished Tennessean Scholarship Award recognizes one student from each county across the state, evaluating academic performance and community involvement. The scholarship covers tuition and fees and is renewable for four years.
Bostick, who plans to study Ag Business and Finance, says she had already found a place to live near the University of Tennessee at Martin, where she had been given multiple scholarships. “Knoxville was my dream school but I was ready to attend Martin until I got the award letter from UTK. It’s a lucky opportunity and I’m thankful.”
Bostick will also be working with show cattle at Three Aces Cattle Company in Clinton, TN.. “I get to take my show heifer, Regina, to college with me,” she exclaims, happy that she’ll be able to continue what she loves away from home.
She is the daughter of Wendy and Russ Orr and Shane and Jeannie Bostick.
