Mary Margaret Lane age 73 of Jackson, TN, formerly of Henry County, died Thursday, April 10, 2025, at Cherrywood Post Acute in McKenzie, TN.
Mary retired after working 20 plus years for the State of Tennessee in the Department of Human Services. She enjoyed reading, singing, gardening, and bird watching. She loved family togethers, especially holidays, and doing things for others brought her immense joy. Mary loved her kids, grandkids, and her entire family. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Paris.
Born December 23, 1951, in Nashville, TN, she was the daughter of the late William Perrin Ball, and the late Bessie McKennon Ball.
Survivors include her two children, Meghann E. Lane of Jackson, TN, and James S. Lane of California; two brothers, Timothy “Tim” Ball of Franklin, TN, and William “Bill” (Brenda) Ball of Harriman, TN; three grandchildren, Natalie Warlick, Noah Warlick, and Eden Warlick; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by a sister, Connie Duffy, and her former husband and father of her children, Robert Stephen “Bob” Lane.
Ridgeway Funeral Home 201 Dunlap St./ P.O. Box 788, Paris, TN 38242, will be handling the arrangements. Visitation will be held Wednesday, April 16, 2025, from 2:00 until 4:00 pm at Ridgeway Funeral Home. Her funeral service will be held Wednesday, April 16, 2025, at 4:00 pm at Ridgeway Funeral Home with Rev. Melissa Worthey officiating.
Cremation will follow the service.
Burial of her cremated remains will be held at a later date.
