Paris, Tenn.–Pure joy as Kath-Ann Roberts of Henry School crossed the finish line Thursday morning at Patriot Stadium in Paris. Everyone had a ‘big time’ at the Henry County Schools Special Olympics, with 100 students participating. The bleachers at Patriot Stadium were full of students, parents, grandparents and others rooting the kids on. For the parade that began the contest, Torch Bearer was Bradley Floyd and carrying the banner were Joseph Aldridge and Emma Millard. Several high school groups provided volunteers. The Henry County High School Madrigals sang the national anthem to kick everything off. The Paris Lakeway Kiwanis Club sponsors the event each year. The Paris Pickleball group served lunch.
