
Dyer County, TN – The Dyer County Sheriff’s Office is reporting that one of its deputies was struck by a vehicle this evening while providing assistance to victims of an initial crash on Highway 104.
Emergency responders quickly arrived at the scene, and the injured deputy was airlifted to Regional One Health, a comprehensive level one trauma center located in Memphis, Tennessee. His current condition is unknown.
Sheriff Jeff Box stated, “Our deputy was doing his duty, serving and protecting the community when this tragic incident occurred. We ask for your thoughts and prayers for him and his family during this difficult time.”
