Paris, TN – Henry County High School students will begin course selections for the 2025-26 school year this week. High school staff work with students during the school day to familiarize them with the new six-period schedule and, according to Principal Pam McCord, staff will also be providing information about courses and pathways available for student graduation requirements. Students and parents may attend a parent course information session to find out more on select evenings in April.
Families are invited to attend sessions according to what grade their student will be in 2025-26. Incoming seniors and parents will have an opportunity to meet with staff tomorrow evening, April 8, between 4:30 PM – 6:30 PM.
Rising Junior/Parent Course Information Session will be held in the testing center on April 14 between 4:30 PM-6:30 PM.
Rising Sophomore/Parent Course Information Sessions in the testing center and will be on April 17 between 4:30 PM – 7:00 PM.
Grove administrators, Pam McCord and Ryan Muench, will visit D & N Harrelson, Henry, Lakewood and Inman middle schools for course selection overview during school to talk to students about the process.
Families are invited to attend an evening session from 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM in the HCHS Testing Center for their rising Freshmen:
Lakewood Freshman/Parent Course Information Session will be available on April 28.
Harrelson & Henry Freshman/Parent Course Information Session will be available on April 29
Inman Freshman/Parent Course Information Session will be on May 1for students with the last name starting with A – M and May 5 for students with the last name starting with N-Z.
The Rising Student/Parent Course Information Sessions will allow families to visit with high school staff to discuss schedules for next year in a come and go session at the HCHS Testing Center, located across from the field house. There will also be HCHS campus tours and a pathway and course exhibition in the bottom of E-building.
If a family is unable to attend on the date assigned for their student, HCHS will work with the family to come to a different session. The only exception is for April 8 which is strictly scheduled for senior students and not underclassmen.
