PARIS, TN– Commercial Bank and Trust Company (CBTC) is pleased to announce that Ashton Cate has been promoted to Loan Officer. In this new role, he will help current and prospective clients achieve and strengthen their financial futures.

A Henry County native, Cate holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Harding University in Arkansas. From 2018 to 2023, Cate developed a passion and skillset for leadership and service through his work as Operations Manager for The Pack Shack, a nonprofit hunger relief program, and as General Manager at Chick-Fil-A.

Cate’s career in finance began in 2023 when he joined Commercial Bank and Trust Company as a Portfolio Manager. Despite being new to the industry, he used his management expertise and service-focused, relationship-oriented mindset to build connections with his clients and provide them with an excellent banking experience.

Rod James, VP and Business Development Officer, expressed his confidence in Cate’s abilities. “Ashton possesses an unwavering passion for serving our clients. We are excited to see him excel in this new role and to continue delivering the exceptional service our clients have come to expect.”

About his time with CBTC, Cate said, “Being a Paris-Henry County native, I take great pride in being born and raised here and getting the opportunity to help meet the needs of everyone in this great and growing community. I’m thankful for this community and how it has embraced me and my family here with open arms.”

Cate’s focus on local involvement extends outside of his work as well. He serves as Treasurer for the Henry County Quarterback Club to support youth athletics, is a member at Sulphur Well Church, and is on the Board of Directors of the Paris Academy for the Arts. He also enjoys CrossFit and spending time with his family.
