Carolyn Rose Summerlin, age 73, of Paris, TN passed away on Friday, March 28, 2025 at Jackson Madison County General Hospital. Her body is to be cremated and a celebration of life will be planned for a later date.
Carolyn Rose McCurry Summerlin was born June 25, 1951 in Erwin, TN to the late Charles McCurry and the late Willie Mae Suter. She married Gary Summerlin on September 19, 1980 and he survives in Paris. She is also survived by her daughter, Theresa Triplett (David Davidson) of Paris, granddaughter, Brittany Rose Stauffer; great-grandchildren, Eli Stauffer and Harper Rose Stauffer; sisters, Helen Rath of Paris, Anita (Joe) Focareto of Chardon, Ohio and Jean (Doug) Trudeau of Paris; brother, Richard (Bonnie) Beaver of Puryear; also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
Besides her parents, Carolyn is preceded in infancy by her sister, Claudette McCurry; also by her brother-in-law, Jack Rath, and by her brother and his wife, Earl (Carol) Suter.
Mrs. Summerlin grew up in Cleveland, Ohio. She was a Baptist by faith and was formerly a supervisor and decorator at Mar Kel Lighting Company, worked as a team trucker with her husband for eleven years, and was also a homemaker. Carolyn loved her pets, enjoyed arts and crafts, spending time with her family and friends, and most especially spending time with her grandchildren and loving husband.
