
Dover, Tenn.–A fugitive from Philadelphia wanted on charges of rape and sexual assault of minors has been arrested in Stewart County.
Deputies Jordan Mickle and Dalton Houston responded to a call on Sunday March 16th of suspicious activity on Cox Hollow Rd. Upon arrival they found a man and woman along with two children in a camper and tents.
While talking with the individuals and checking with NCIC the deputies found that the man Donnell Crooks was wanted in Philadelphia on a rape charge, also facing charges of sexual exportation of a child, incest, sexual assault, corruption of minors and other related charges.
Crooks was charged by deputies for possession of marijuana and being a fugitive from justice. Once the Stewart County charges are adjudicated he will be picked up by authorities in Philadelia.
Sheriff Frankie Gray said, “A great job deputies and the Sheriff’s Office wants to thank the citizens who were concerned and called and reported suspicious activity.”
