Mr. William C. “WC” Milam, Sr., 89, of Henry died Friday, March 7, 2025, at his home.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, March 15, 2025, at McPhearson-Rawls Funeral Home in Paris, TN. Minister Diamond Payne will officiate. Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Friday, March 14, 2025, at McPhearson- Rawls Funeral Home.
William Clarence Milam Senior was born on May 13, 1935, in Henry, TN. Affectionately known “W.C.” Milam or “Pops”, he was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.
He attended Central High School in Paris, TN (Class of 1953), he worked at Mark 1 Plastics in Henry, TN for over 30 years, and enjoyed gardening, fishing and spending time with his family and friend. He was a hard-working man who provided endlessly for his family and was a man of few words, although very wise and kind.
He was a devoted Christian and a faithful member of Cole’s Chapel C.M.E. Church, where he was a past trustee, assistant usher and a reliable handyman. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends and all who knew him.
He is survived and cherished by his two children: William Milam, Jr. (Ella) of Henry, TN and Lisa Carroll Webb (Ronnie) of Hollow Rock, TN; three grandchildren, five great-grandchildren; a sister, Patsy Blakemore of Henry, TN a host of nieces, nephews, additional relatives and friends.
William was preceded in death by his precious wife of 47 years Betty Jean Milam, son, Jammie Milam, a granddaughter, Brittany Webb; parents, George and Nell Milam; his brothers, James (J.B.) Breedlove Milam, George Quiteman and O.C. Milam and a sister, Dorothy Alexander.
