Murray, Ky.–In an early morning traffic stop today, a Murray man was arrested on drugs and gun charges.
On March 6, 2025, shortly after midnight, deputies pulled over a vehicle on Irvin Cobb Rd. During the stop, they discovered that the driver was in possession of illegal drugs as well as a handgun. While carrying the firearm was legal on its own, the combination of the gun and the drugs led to an aggravated charge. If convicted, he could face a penalty one class higher, elevating the charge to a Class C felony. He was taken into custody at the Calloway County Detention Center.
