McLeese Indictment Unsealed; 2 Counts Sexual Battery, 1 Count Purchasing Alcohol For Minor

Paris, Tenn.–Travis McLeese of Paris has been indicted by the Henry County Grand Jury, charged with two counts of sexual battery and one count of purchasing alcoholic beverages or beer for a minor.

McLeese currently is an event promoter and co-host of Sounds Like Life with Darryl Worley. He formerly was the director of the Paris-Henry County Chamber of Commerce.

At Monday’s grand jury session, one indictment was sealed until the individual was arrested and the arrest occured this afternoon.

According to the indictment, he is charged with knowingly or intentionally engaging in unlawful sexual contact without the consent of the individual; charged with knowingly and intentionally engaging in unlawful sexual contact and “knew or had reason to know that…(the individual) was mentally incapacitated or physically helpless, thereby committing the offense of sexual battery” and charged with “knowingly or intententionally” buying alcoholic beverages or beer for the individual, “committing the offense of purchasing of alcoholic beverages or beer for minor”.

According to the indictment, the offenses occured May 27, 2024.

Bond was set at $15,000.
