
Franklin, Tenn.–A huge honor. Laura Quick has received the 2024 Governor’s Volunteer Stars Award. Judy Goad of the Family Resource Center said, “Huge shout out to our incredible Laura Quirk! so inspiring! We’re so happy and proud of her dedication to serving others.”
Earlier, she was named the Henry County Volunteer of the Year and as such, was entered into competition for the statewide award. As a volunteer with multiple organizations such as the Family Resource Center and 2nd Harvest Food Bank, Ms. Quirk has served many roles and is always willing to step in and lend a helping hand.
She is a graduate of the Tennessee Naturalist Program which encourages volunteerism and has recently been awarded the 500 hour pin for over 400 volunteer hours and 100 continuing education hours. Her countless hours of selfless work have garnered the attention and highest respect of those around her including Family Resource Director, Darlene Russell who nominated Ms. Quirk for the award.
