Carroll County, TN – Two outstanding students from Carroll County, Allie Paschall and Paige Costello, have been selected to attend the prestigious Tennessee Governor’s School for the Agricultural Sciences. This competitive program, held at the University of Tennessee at Martin, provides high-achieving students with an immersive experience in various agricultural disciplines.
Paschall, a student from the Hollow Rock-Bruceton Special School District, and Costello, from the Huntingdon Special School District, earned their spots through a rigorous application process that considered academic performance, leadership in agricultural activities, and a demonstrated passion for the industry. As part of the program, they will have the opportunity to engage in hands-on learning, college-level coursework, and networking with professionals and peers from across the state.
The Governor’s School for Agriculture runs from June 1 to June 27, 2025, and offers students a deep dive into topics such as animal science, agribusiness, and environmental sustainability. Participants also earn college credit while gaining insight into future career paths in agriculture.
Paschall and Costello’s selection highlights the strength of Carroll County’s agricultural education programs and the bright future of local students pursuing careers in the field. Both girls are active in their respective 4-H clubs and FFA chapters.
