
Henry L. Carpenter, age 84 of Springville, Tennessee passed away on Thursday, February 27, 2025 at his residence. His funeral service will be 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, March 4, 2025 at McEvoy Funeral Home with burial to follow in Hickory Flat United Methodist Church Cemetery in Cedar Grove, Tennessee. Named as pallbearers are Michael Ray Williams, Bryan Williams, Lucas Doering, Jake Wilson, Michael Dale Williams and Jeff Shands.
Visitation is scheduled on Monday from 4:00 until 7:00 P.M. closing with a Masonic Rites Service. Visitation on Tuesday will begin at 9:00 A.M. until time for the service at 11:00 A.M.
Henry Louis Carpenter was born November 12, 1940 in Union City, Tennessee to the late Frank Louis Carpenter and the late Martha Coleman Carpenter. He married Brenda Joyce Jarrett Carpenter, who survives in Springville. He is also survived by his daughters, Pamela J. Doering of Springville and Sheril Ann Luckett of Nebo, Kentucky; son, Robert Louis Carpenter of Springville; grandchildren, Melissa Luckett, Braxton Luckett, Michael Ray (Amy) Williams, Bryan (Tanya) Williams, Nicholas Doering, Hannah (Alan Jake Wilson) Doering, Lucas Doering; great-grandchildren, Madison, Bailey, Jackson Williams; Finas Clyde Wilson; brother, Tommy (Mary Ann) Carpenter, Rives, Tennessee; also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, Mr. Carpenter is also preceded in death by his daughter, Brenda Kay Williams, and by his sisters, Frankie, Maggie Lou, and Margaret.
Mr. Carpenter was a Baptist by faith. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran, a Shriner, and was over a 50 year member of the Masonic Lodge, holding all chair positions throughout this time. Henry was also a volunteer fireman for the Springville Fire Department, was an avid duck hunter and fisherman. Henry worked as a tool and dye maker for many years. He was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather who will be missed by all who knew him.
