
Paris, TN- Henry County Mayor Randy Geiger has announced Henry County General Government offices will be closed on Wednesday February 19 due to winter weather. This includes the Courthouse, Annex, Central Building, Airport, Recycling Center, Health Dept, and Grove Campus Offices. Mayor Geiger said, “A Winter Storm is causing hazardous road conditions and conditions will continue to be slick into Wednesday. We want our employees and the public to be safe.”
Ron Watkins, County Emergency Management Director said, ” A Winter Storm Warning has been issued for Henry County and is expected to bring 3-6 inches of snow with dangerously cold temperatures this evening”. Henry County Emergency Management has opened Inman School Tornado Shelter as a community warming shelter beginning at 6pm tonight through Thursday morning. Persons using the shelter will be expected to be self sufficient as no meals will be served.
