
Paris, TN- Henry County Mayor Randy Geiger has announced Henry County General Government offices will be opening two hours late on Wednesday Feb 19, at 10 AM. due to expected winter weather this evening. This includes the Courthouse, Annex, Central Building, Airport, Recycling Center, Health Dept, and Grove Campus Offices. Mayor Randy Geiger said, “We may make a decision in the morning to close offices for the entire day if roads become hazardous due to the winter weather conditions. We want our employees and the public to be safe.”
Ron Watkins, County Emergency Management Director added, ” A Winter Storm Warning has been issued for Henry County and is expected to bring 3-6 inches of snow with dangerously cold temperatures this evening”.
Henry County Emergency Management has opened Inman School Tornado Shelter as a community warming shelter beginning at 6pm tonight through Thursday morning. Persons using the shelter will be expected to be self sufficient as no meals will be served.
