
Glen J. West, age 79 of St. Louis, MO, passed away on Wednesday, February 5, 2025, at Christian Northeast Hospital in St. Louis, MO.
Glen proudly served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War. Afterward, he worked with the state of Missouri in career services, helping homeless veterans find employment. A dedicated St. Louis Cardinals fan, he attended countless games over the years. Glen had a deep passion for music of all genres and was also an avid coin and baseball card collector. He was selfless and generous, with an infectious humor and a love for corny “Dad jokes.”
He was born February 25, 1945, in Paris, TN, to the late J.C. West and the late Jearline Joy McRee West.
He is survived by one son, Andrew West of St. Louis, MO; three sisters, Linda Wear of Barnhart, MO, Teresa Wright of Desoto, MO, and Jana Casteel of Hillsboro, MO; two brothers, Gary West, and Randy West of the Philippines; one granddaughter, Kaylee Hough-West; and several nieces and nephews.
Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by one sister, Angela D. West.
Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap Street, Paris, TN, 38242, is handling the arrangements. Visitation will be held on Monday, February 10, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m at Ridgeway Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m. with Chad Kennedy and Rev. Martin Orjianioke officiating.
Burial will follow at Olive Branch Cemetery in Cottage Grove, TN.
