Detectives of the McCracken County Sheriff’s Office, with the assistance of the Henry County Tennessee Sheriff’s Office arrested Darian Scheffer with three counts of Criminal Abuse 2nd Degree Child 12 or Under.
According to the press release, in December of 2024, the McCracken County Sheriff’s Office was notified by the Benton County Tennessee Sheriff’s Office that an alleged sexual assault that occurred in McCracken County had been reported to them. The victims’ father reported that his two daughters made statements that they were sexually assaulted while visiting a residence in McCracken County.
During the investigation, Gregory Scheffer was arrested for multiple sexual related charges, including Rape, Criminal Abuse, Incest and Sodomy.
As the investigation continued, Detectives discovered that Darian Scheffer left her children alone with Gregory for extended periods of time. The children would tell Darian of accounts of physical abuse that were occurring in the home, and she continued to leave the children with him.
Subsequently Darian was charged with 3 counts of Criminal Abuse and arrested in Henry County Tennesse. The McCracken County Sheriff’s Office would like to thank the Henry County Sheriff’s Office for their assistance.
