Ray Rushing, age 76 of Paris, died Sunday, February 2, 2025, at Alive Hospice in Nashville, TN.

Ray was a lifelong logger, having earned the designation as a Master Logger. He enjoyed fishing, riding his motorcycle, and spending time with those he loved. Ray was a self-taught man who could fix anything and lived life to the fullest.

Born November 29, 1948, in Benton County, TN, he was the son of the late Morris Glendel Rushing and the late Flora Jane Hale Rushing.

Ray is survived by his two children, Angela (Tracey) Rushing of LaVergne, TN, and John Rushing of Paris, TN; six sisters, Barbara (Vernon) Decker of Paris, TN, Jane French of Paris, TN, Jean (Robert) Sellers of McKenzie, TN, Safronia Rufsholm of Camden, TN, Carolyn Sego of Spring Creek, TN, and Shirley Johnson of Camden, TN; two grandchildren, Dawson Rushing, and Connor Smith.

In addition to his parents, Ray was also preceded in death by a daughter, Kimberly Raye Rushing; a sister, Pauline Rushing; and three brothers, Clyde Rushing, Larry Rushing, and Richard Rushing.

Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap St./P.O. Box 788, Paris, TN, 38242, will be handling the arrangements. Memorial visitation will be held Saturday, February 8, 2025, from 12:00 until 2:00 pm. His memorial service will be held Saturday, February 8, 2025, at 2:00 pm at Ridgeway Funeral Home.
