Paris, Tenn.–The Henry County Helping Hand Radio Auction hit the $200,000 mark Saturday–and then some. With the $9,230 raised by the Henry County Hospital, the year-to-date total is now $201,482.
And there’s still a month to go.
At the afternoon auction, the hospital raised $6,761 and at the night auction, raised $2,469. Hospital employees donated over 200 items, which ranged from baked goods, ready-to-eat meals, soups, stews, a wide variety of gift boxes and gift bags and more.
The auction goes from January 6 through February 26.
Monday items will be donated by: First Christian Church and Literacy Council.
Tuesday items: Veterans organizations, VFW Post, Amvets Post, Darkhorse Lodge, American LEgion Post and Paris Elks Lodge.
Wednesday items: Walmart, Covenant Ranch, New Wave Buddy Ball and Tennessee Valley Board of Realtors.
Auction phone is 644 1695. The auction is held at the Paris Convention Center at 1510 East Wood St., Paris. Dozens of groups and local communities raise thousands of dollars each year for over 90 non-profit service organizations.
The auction is broadcast daily at our radio station WHNY, 104.7 FM/AM 1000; on our website at radionwtn.com and on the Henry County Helping Hand website.
The auction begins at 12:30p.m. on weekdays and noon on Saturdays.
