Roger Glenn Camper, age 56, of Buchanan, TN, passed away Thursday, January 23, 2025, at his residence.
He was born November 22, 1968, in Paris, TN to the late Jimmy Camper and the late Wanda Brady Camper.
Roger was a loving dad and grandad who brought joy to everyone around him. He spent 30 years as a dedicated trucker for Southern Concrete, earning the respect and admiration of his colleagues. Roger leaves behind many close friends. He was the life of every party, always making those around him smile and laugh.
He is survived by one daughter, Samantha (Dustin) Hillard of Buchanan, TN; one son, Jimmy (Haley) Camper of Paris, TN; one sister, Linda Camper of Buchanan, TN; one brother, Rodney (Shelley) Outland of Murray, KY; three grandchildren, Emily Hillard, Courtney Rhodes, and Ashley Hillard; and four nieces.
Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap St, Paris, TN, 38242. Visitation will be at Ridgeway Funeral Home on Monday, January 27, 2025, from 4:00 pm – 7:00 pm and again on Tuesday, January 28, 2025, from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm at Ridgeway Funeral Home with the funeral service at 1:00 pm with Randy Miller officiating. Cremation will follow the service.
Brian French, Tommy Watson, Dan Nichols, Gary Burnett, Dustin Hillard, Derek Weatherford will serve as pallbearers. Serving as honorary pallbearers are Brian Hinson and Mark Hinson.
Southern Concrete will be hosting a memorial gathering following the service.
The family is also planning to hold a Celebration of Life at a later date.
