Paris, Tenn.–This past weekend the Henry County High School Speech Team competed in the Tennessee High School Speech & Drama League’s state tournament. Five individuals qualified for and attended the tournament in Clarksville, one of whom, freshman Timothy Tyler, made the final round and placed second in the state in Poetry Interpretation. This marks the high school team’s final tournament of the year. They will be holding a showcase of their selections this year on Monday, May 6th at 5:30 PM in the Linda Wilson Miller Theatre at HCHS which will include members of both the middle school and high school teams. The middle school is preparing to attend the national tournament in Des Moines this June. They invite the public to join them for this event.
