Paris, Tenn.–The opening day of the 71st annual World’s Biggest Fish Fry was a definite success, with good crowds at all of the events held Saturday. Over 50 vehicles were on display at the Car & Bike Show and over 60 runners and walkers were doing their thing at the Hushpuppy Dash, both of which were held in the morning. And the Henry County Fairgrounds was busy as a large crowd showed up for the annual Demolition Derby in the evening. First place was won by Shane Gordon and the Patriot Plumbers’ team. On Monday, the Kick-Off Street Dance will be held in downtown Paris with the Ray Lewis Band performing a free concert starting at 7 p.m. The Fish Fry is ongoing all week from April 20-27.
