Nancy Ann Butler

Nancy Ann Butler, 84, of Henry, Tennessee, died Wednesday, April 10, 2024, at AHC of Paris.

Nancy was born Monday, October 2, 1939, in Paris, Tennessee, to the late John Douglas Walton and the late Mary Louella Clement Walton.

She retired after many years as the office manager for Dr. Tusa at Paris Clinic.

She loved playing the piano and organ at church.

Nancy enjoyed spending time with her sisters, Judy and Pat, at Judy’s house in Georgia where they would meet & catch up.

She was a longtime member of Mansfield Baptist Church.

She was married Sunday, May 10, 1959, to Bobby Wray Butler, who preceded her in death Sunday, November 12, 2006.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by two brothers: Billy Walton, and Lee “Chester” Walton; and one granddaughter: Brooke Webb.

She is survived by her two children: Michael Wray “Mike” (Kim) Butler, of Henry, Tennessee, and Jennifer (Jerry) Drye, of Dalton, Georgia; two sisters: Patsy Nesbitt, of Fort Myers, Florida, and Judy Nobles, of Danville, Georgia; four grandchildren: Griffin (Valarie) Butler, of McKenzie, Tennessee, Corbin (Courtland) Butler, of Henry, Tennessee, Zack Drye, of Dalton, Georgia, and Meagan (Dylan) Wolfe, of Ewing, New Jersey; six great-grandchildren: Bryson, Avery Kate, Ella Rose, and Saylor Brooke Butler, Julie and Sophia Wolfe; and two great-granddogs: Nova and Mollie.

Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap St, Paris, Tennessee.

A private family graveside service will be held at McAuley Cemetery in Buena Vista, Tennessee, with Jerry Drye officiating.

Burial will follow the service in McAuley Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the Henry County Sheriff’s Office Animal Shelter, 210 Forrest Heights Road, Paris, Tennessee, 38242.
