Columbia, Tenn.–Auctioneer Tucker Kail of Puryear brought home the big prize from the 13th Annual Mule Day Auctioneers Championship Friday. Kail was declared Champion of the Open Championship.
According to Mule Day officials, 34 outstanding professional auctioneers and eight junior auctioneers representing nine states were competing this year.
Kail said, “It is always a pleasure to attend the Columbia Breakfast Rotary Club Mule Day Auctioneer Competition, but today was surreal. To share the block with some of my best friends and some of the best auctioneers around means more to me than anything. Thank you for all the love and support that you all have sent throughout the day from my wonderful family and friends. I will be forever grateful and humbled by this day!”
