HCMC Chooses Potential Buyer For Healthcare Center

hchc

Paris, Tenn.–Meeting late last week, the Henry County Medical Center board of trustees choose Ahava Heathcare as potential buyer for the Henry County Healthcare Center.

Ahava Healthcare is a skilled nursing facility with a headquarters in Brooklyn, but which operates several nursing homes, several of which are in Tennessee. According to its website, Ahava has a “focus on implementing continuous quality improvement measures across the entire spectrum of the healthcare services we provide.”

Its 10 other senior centers in Tennessee include facilities in Clarksville, Jackson, Decatur, Cordova, and Henderson.

An ad hoc committee had been charged with seeking out potential buyers and it recommended accepting an $8.84 M bid from Ahava.

Earlier in December, the Henry County Commission unanimously approved revising the Private Act governing the Heathcare Center so that the sale could proceed. The Private Act revision must be approved by the Tennessee legislature and it is expected that may not occur until at least April.
