Murray Man Arrested After Shooting At Man Making Phone Call

Murray, Ky.–A Murray man is in jail after he shot at a man who had stopped across the street to make a phone call.

On Jan 1, 2024 at approximately 2:30 pm deputies were contacted by a man who had pulled over in a parking lot next to some grain bins and a vacant house on Murray-Paris Road to call his wife.

Joseph Scott, age 70, who lived across the street, came out of his residence with a shot gun and fired a round at his vehicle with what appeared to be bird shot. The suspect was lodged at the Calloway County Detention Center on the below listed charges.
