Marshall County, Ky.–The Marshall County Sheriff’s Office has identified the man who disappeared from the Tennessee River Bridge Tuesday night.
Deputies were called to the I-24/Tennessee River bridge a little after 9 p.m. Tuesday night on a report of a barefoot man walking in the westbound lane. When deputies arrived, they saw him laying in the roadway at the top of the bridge, but when they turned around to go to him, the man was gone.
Search and rescue began immediately, again with no sign of him.
The Marshall County Sheriff’s Office said today they are searching for 41-year-old Wesley Augustine of Gilbertsville. Augustine was last seen wearing a red t-shirt, dark sweatpants and was barefoot.
He is described as being six foot four in height, weighing 175 pounds.
