Murray, Tenn.–It is with mixed emotions that officials announce the closure of the Blood Donor Center at Murray Calloway County Hospital after 49 incredible years of dedicated service.
Effective January 1, 2024, the Blood Donor Center will not longer be accepting donations. However, they have announced the blood supply need in our area will be handled by the American Red Cross. Their extensive network and expertise will ensure that the vital need for blood donations continues to be met efficiently and effectively.
Officials said, “We extend our heartfelt gratitude to each and every donor who selflessly contributed over the years.
While this chapter comes to a close, the legacy of kindness and generosity will endure. We encourage you to continue supporting the American Red Cross in their mission to provide life-saving blood donations to those in need.
