Mary Ellen Wagler, 83, of Paris, Tennessee, passed away Wednesday morning, December 27, 2023, at her residence.

Mary Ellen Wagler was born Monday, September 9, 1940, in Canton, Ohio, to the late Wallace V. Yoder and the late Ida Ellen Zook Yoder.

Thursday, June 11, 1959, she married Paul Yoder and he preceded her in death Wednesday, November 15, 2006.

Besides her parents and husband, Mary Ellen was also preceded in death by three brothers: Leroy Yoder, Alvin Yoder, and John Henry Yoder; and also by one grandchild.

Mary Ellen is survived by four daughters: Pauline (Elmer) Yoder, of Paris, Tennessee, Mary Lynn (Sylvan) Yoder, of Monticello, Kentucky, Karen (Steve) Miller, of Shreve, Ohio, and Darlene (Raymond) Miller, of Paris, Tennessee; seven sons: Loyal (Irene) Wagler, of Monticello, Kentucky, Ervin (Mary Ellen) Wagler, of Huttonsville, West Virginia, Leon (Rachel) Wagler, of Fredonia, Kentucky, Galen (Mary Ellen) Wagler, of Oskaloosa, Kansas, Milan (Grace) Wagler, of Okmulgee, Oklahoma, Marlin (Orpha) Wagler, of Cottage Grove, Tennessee, and LaWayne (Dorcas) Wagler, of Cottage Grove, Tennessee; sister: Martha (Alfred) Gingerich, of Manton, Michigan; three brothers: Ervin Yoder, of Harrison, Arkansas, Elmer (Edna) Yoder, of Hartville, Ohio, and Vernon (Mary Margaret) Yoder, of Roodhouse, Illinois; sister-in-law: Arlene Yoder, of Hartville, Ohio; 68 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Her funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m. Sunday, December 31, 2023, at Bethel Fellowship Mennonite Church with burial to follow in New Boston Cemetery.

Visitation will be at the Church Saturday, December 30, 2023, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and again from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.

Pallbearers for Ms. Wagler will be: Sheldon Yoder, Jordan Wagler, Marcus Wagler, Jared Miller, Ronald Wagler, and Jeremy Miller.
