Fannie T. Brown

Fannie T. Brown, 94, of Paris, Tennessee, passed away Friday, December 15, 2023, at her residence.  She formerly lived in Columbus, Mississippi for many years.

Fannie was born Monday, May 20, 1929, in Brevard, North Carolina, to the late Abraham Elliott Tinsley and the late Beulah Bell Justus Tinsley.

She enjoyed gardening, cooking, and traveling.

She worked 20 years at the Fashion Barn in Columbus, Mississippi.

Fannie was a member of Fairview Baptist Church in Columbus where she sang in the choir.

She was married to Doyle Gordon Brown Friday, April 23, 1948, and he preceded her in death Thursday,January 5, 2017.

Besides her husband and parents, Fannie was also preceded in death by one son: Doyle Gregory Brown; four brothers; and four sisters.

Fannie is survived by three daughters: Andrea Brown (Larry) Miller, of Paris, Tennessee, Joni Brown (Pat) Gorman, of Ellijay, Georgia, and Robin Brown (Ron) Betsch, of Hattiesburg, Mississippi; seven grandchildren: Ashley (TJ) Schmitt, Laura (Brad) Copeland, Taylor Gorman, Michelle (Joe) Yarborough, Mason Betsch, Mollie (Andrew) Tice, and Maggie (Michael) Vineyard; and 13 great-grandchildren.

Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap St, Paris, Tennessee.

A private graveside service will be held at Memorial Gardens of Columbus, Mississippi.
