Union City, Tenn.–Christmas was in the air throughout the final week of classes of the first semester at Union City Schools.
From numerous musical performances by several groups to visits from Santa to Tornado RISE students making specialty drinks for faculty and staff, the holiday spirit was bountiful in the land of Purple and Gold.
UCMS students capped the last day before dismissal by donating nearly 2,000 cans and non-perishable food items to Chimes for Charity. That – combined with earlier contributions from UC Elementary and UCHS – brought the total of goods given to those in need to more than 16,500 items.
Students were dismissed for the holiday break before noon today and will return to classes on Jan. 4.
Merry Christmas from Union City Schools!
