Mr. Marion Thornton “Bud” Staggs, 85, of Union City, passed away 2:05 p.m. Sunday, December 3, 2023, at Diversicare of Martin.
Bud was born Saturday, April 23, 1938, in Hazzard, Kentucky, son of the late Dan and Mary (Pierce) Staggs. He was also preceded in death by one brother: Arvel Staggs; and one sister: Kim Staggs.
He was a truck driver and of the Baptist faith.
He is survived by one son: Stacy Staggs (Donna), of Union City; two daughters: Susan Fowler (Kevin), of Oklahoma, and Tammy Lewis, of Union City; seven grandchildren; one sister: Ruth Combs, of San Antonio, Texas; one brother; Dan Staggs, Jr. (Janet), of Bloomington, Illinois; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home is in charge of cremation arrangements.
