
Paris, Tenn.–At a routine meeting, the Paris Utility Authority (PUA) Board of Directors voted to approve the fiscal year 2023 audit reports for both Paris Utility Authority and the Paris BPU Trust (Round Up) prepared by Alexander Thompson Arnold, PLLC. The Board also approved a motion to retain Alexander Thompson Arnold, PLLC to prepare the audit for Fiscal Year 2024.
In other business, the Board approved a scope of work and fee details for engineering services related to a Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) process evaluation. This study, sanctioned for implementation, aims to generate a report addressing current and future requirements to ensure long-term NPDES permit compliance. Anticipating increasingly stringent regulations, the project includes understanding and planning for future EPA compliance. The OHM proposal, endorsed for execution, specifies a not-to-exceed amount of $86,000. OHM is entrusted with tasks such as analyzing existing conditions, reviewing process drawings, recommending improvements for future compliance, and providing an opinion on probable construction costs.
In his President’s Report, PUA President & CEO, Terry Wimberley’s board member guest was Randall French. Randall French is a well known member of the Henry County community and this dedicated and skilled professional, joined the Paris BPU team on August 25, 2008, as part of the right-of-way/tree trimming crew. Displaying exceptional dedication and proficiency, he progressed to the role of Apprentice Lineman on March 7, 2011. Through his commitment to excellence and continuous learning, Randall achieved the status of Journeyman Lineman on March 9, 2015.
