Mr. Carl Wayne Miles, 81, of Big Rock, Tennessee, passed away Wednesday, November 29, 2023, at Dover Care Center.
He was born in Saturday, November 28, 1942, Clarksville, Tennessee, the beloved son of the late Carl and Evelyn Lynn Fitzhugh Miles. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his nephew: Tom Love.
Wayne, as he was fondly known as, had a long career working in auto parts. As long as you could describe it, he could tell you exactly what part you needed.
He was always joking around but things would definitely turn serious if you tried to take the end piece with all the icing to his cake.
Wayne was strong-willed, temperamental at times, and you never had to guess what was on his mind.
He was also gentle, kind, and funny.
He truly loved his family.
Wayne will be forever missed and remembered always by all that loved him so much.
He is survived by his loving family: son: Tony Miles; daughter: Angie Pennington (Larry), both of Paris, Tennessee; sisters: Dixie Love (Ed), Margaret L. Wallace (Dale); half- siblings: Carla, Andy and Jeff; grandchildren: Jazmine Wiles (Collins), of Chattanooga, Tennessee, Brandon Miles, of Paris, Tennessee, and Nevaeh Miles, of Paris, Tennessee; great-grandchildren: Lincoln Wiles, Harrison Wiles, Indy Wiles, all of Chattanooga, Tennessee, and Madisyn Miles, of Paris, Tennessee, and many nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, December 1, 2023, at Taylors Chapel Cemetery in Big Rock, Tennessee, with Rachael Fletcher and Bro. William Gray officiating. Those serving as pallbearers are Ron Fletcher, Chris Toney, Cody Lemons, Landon Keatts, Michael Toney and Gage Burkhart.
